Greg Mitchell- Owner/Technician

Greg Mitchell has been a Licensed Irrigator in the state of Texas, (#4398), since 1991. Prior to that he worked in the irrigation industry for several other companies over a period of years. In the early part of his irrigation career, Greg helped to install new irrigation systems, but enjoys the challenge of repair and maintenance of existing lawn sprinkler systems. In 1993, he established Turf Surgeons Irrigation Services Co. where repair & maintenance have been his main focus for the past 17 years. He conducts training courses for other irrigation professionals, and has served in various state and national trade associations. He has also authored articles in state and nationally distributed trade publications. Greg has created a unique Irrigation Maintenance Program, (IMP), for his most appreciated customers. Greg is a U.S. Navy Veteran. He and his wife Patti are members of the American Legion Post 60, (near the new Cowboy's Stadium), in Arlington, Texas. When not working on sprinkler systems, he enjoys writing, photography, camping, fishing, swimming, mountain-biking, and dog-training. He is constantly honing his Spanish language skills. He has a German Shepherd,  (Star), a Blue-heeler, (Mattie), and Twin Pomeranians, (Elvis &Priscilla), He calls them "King" and "Prissy".

Patti Mitchell- Operations & Training Facility Administrator

(Part-Time)

Patti assists in the day-to-day operations of both the Irrigation Repair and Training endeavors, putting up with Greg, while holding down a fulltime office job outside the family businesses. She loves cooking, gardening, camping, fishing, mountain-biking, and almost all outdoor activities. She lays claim to one of the twin Pomeranians, (Prissy).

Joe K. Mitchell- Administrative Assistant for Training

 Joe Mitchell is Greg's dad, and semi-retired from a career in sales. He helps part-time with marketing and coordination of training seminars. He frequently attends and assists with administrative duties during the training courses. Joe is an avid fan of professional football, and especially the Dallas Cowboys. A dedicated family man, Joe loves to spend time with his wife, Patsy, and all the kids, (Greg, Darla, Sheri, Ken, Lynn, ...and his Pomeranians, Zell Miller and Mandy).

Sotero Rodriguez- Excavation/Backfill Specialist

(NOW RETIRED)

Sotero worked for Turf Surgeons Irrigation Services Co. from 1994 until 2004.. A Mexican citizen, Sotero worked in the USA, (legally by the way), about 9 or 10 months out of each year. Although many consider his job to be simple menial labor, in fact, Sotero's close attention to detail is a crucial part of the Turf Surgeons legacy. Proper skillful, thorough, and careful excavation expedites the repair process, and avoids time-consuming and expensive additional damage to piping, control wires, or other components of the sprinkler system. Proper backfill and top-dressing insures a secure, long-lasting repair, and  a virtually undisturbed appearance upon completion. Sotero has a Wife, (Carmella), and 10 children.
